4-H National Volunteer Leader of the Year Award
Initiated to recognize volunteerism during the United Nations International Year of the Volunteer in 2001, this Award allows club members the opportunity to recognize the many special qualities of their leaders. A provincial leader is selected from the applications submitted from each province and awarded $100. From the 10 provincial leaders, a national leader is chosen who will receive an additional $1,000 and a trip to the 4-H Canada Annual General Meeting held in May of the following year.
Members can nominate their leader by filling out an application form (see the link below). Each application requires three member nominators, information about their leader, a description of why the leader deserves to win and information about how you feel the leader has made your community a better place.
Nominations will be received until 11:59 pm EST on Wednesday, December 18, 2013.
