With your donation to the Canadian 4-H Foundation, you are contributing to the on-going success of national 4-H programs. Use this secure form. Incorporated in 1969, the Foundation is a not-for-profit organization whose main purpose is to raise funds which are used to support the continuation of national 4-H programs.

Individual Donors

Individual donors are an integral part of the Foundation. Donations in any amount are welcome. The 4-H 500 Club was established to specifically recognize those individuals who provide a personal contribution of $500 or more. There are currently more than 200 individuals who have expressed their personal commitment to 4-H by becoming members of the 4-H 500 Club.

  • Pledges are completed in one, two or five installments
  • Any individual donor accumulating contributions equal to $500, over any number of years, is recognized as a 4-H 500 Club member.
  • After achieving 500 Club status, further donations qualify individuals for higher recognition categories such as:
    • Patron of 4-H (accumulated donations of $1,000)
    • President's Club ($2,500)
    • Trustee's Club ($5,000)

There are currently more than 200 individuals who have expressed their personal commitment to 4-H by becoming members of the 4-H 500 Club.

 

Corporate Donors

The generous donations received from a variety of businesses and other interested organizations form the bulk of the Foundation's annual contributions. Over the years, hundreds of companies have made donations ranging from $50 to much larger contributions. Some donors choose to provide large, one-time only grants, while a substantial number give to the Foundation on an annual basis.

Corporate donors are also honoured for achieving established recognition categories - Patron of 4-H, President, Trustee, Silver, Gold and Diamond Clover Club. The Foundation currently has two donors, The W. Garfield Weston Foundation and The Co-operators, who, with accumulated contributions exceeding $50,000, have attained the prestigious status of membership in the Diamond Clover Club.

Wills and Bequests

A bequest in your will to Canadian 4-H Foundation will serve as a lasting gift that ensures the continuation of 4-H programs for generations to come. We recommend that all legacy gifts happen with family and legal consultation. Provided below is sample wording for inclusion in your will:

“I direct my Trustee to give to Canadian 4-H Foundation the sum of $_______from my estate.”

You might also consider naming Canadian 4-H Foundation as a beneficiary of your life insurance policy or investment assets. Your lawyer, insurance agent or financial adviser can best direct you on how to proceed with any of these options.
 

Memorial and Tribute Donations

Whether as a member, leader or family member, a memorial/tribute donation is a wonderful recognition of someone who has committed their time and energy to the 4-H movement. All memorial and tribute donations are acknowledged in the annual report and on the 4-H Canada website. Consider honouring a loved one’s life, anniversary and/or birthday today with a donation in their name to 4-H!
