Did you know that one in every eight jobs in Canada is in agriculture? Agriculture is a significant part of Canada’s economy, employing over 2.3 million people.

The 14th Global Forum for Rural Advisory Services (GFRAS) took place in Denver, CO in October 2023. This marked the first time this prestigious event has been held in North America, hosted by the North American Agricultural Advisory Network (NAAAN).

Thanks to the support from the 4-H Canada Youth Advisory Committee (YAC) sponsor, BASF Canada Agricultural Solutions, I was given the opportunity to attend Members Forum last November.

Youth empowerment and leadership are at the core of the 4-H program, and one shining example of this is the Members Voice Committee.

In this fast-paced digital age, 4-H Canada believes youth conferences are more valuable than ever, and the 2023 4-H Canada Members Forum was the perfect example of ‘why’.
