Hey everyone, this is Liz, the YAC rep. from Manitoba. I don’t know about everyone else, but I am getting super excited for Christmas.
To me Christmas is all about having the opportunity to spend time with friends and family. This to me includes all my 4-H family so to all of my 4-H Family I would like to say Merry Christmas.
I don’t know what all the clubs in all the other provinces do for Christmas, but I know that I love my club’s traditions. My club would always gather items for the Samaritan’s Purse Christmas Shoe boxes. We would also do a special activity for us, sometimes it was a gift exchange, sometimes we went bowling and had potluck, sometimes we did both. So I hope that everyone is enjoying their club’s Christmas traditions.
I know that everyone must be busy getting ready for Christmas, I mean 8 days and counting but just remember to have fun, and don’t forget 4-H.
Here in Manitoba at least it is time to keep working on projects and maybe, for some far thinking people, it is time to think about a speech topic. I know for me as a Manitoba 4-H Ambassador it is a time to get things ready for City Survival, our big weekend that we host in Winnipeg to give high school students a chance to learn about university life, but more about that next time.
I guess at this time there is just one thing left to say:
Merry Christmas everybody, and have a great New Year.
